Sermons For Lent And Easter
Spring is a symphony of sounds. The crack of a bat breaking up
a no-hitter in the ninth. The roar of the crowds as thoroughbreds
sprint for the finish line at Churchill Downs. The splish-splash
of a swimmer plunging into the cool waters of the public pool.
The coo of robins to awaken us in the peaceful springtime dawn.
Alexander Pope wrote, "Hope springs eternal in the human breast."
Of all the quartet of seasons it is spring which most reminds us
as Christians of the hope we have for eternal life.
