These women had done nothing...
Illustration
These women had done nothing wrong; why were they afraid? Perhaps they are like me, driving down the interstate on Sunday morning, on my way to church. As I am approaching an underpass, a car on the far side of the road begins blinking its headlights at me. At first, I don't understand why they're doing that, but suddenly I see the State Patrol car, nearly hidden on the far side of the bridge support. Instinctively, I put on my brakes and check the speedometer. How fast had I been going? It doesn't matter; if there's a patrol car, I hit the brakes.
