Teaching The Mystery Of God To Children
A Book Of Clues
As we begin our journey in the mystery of God we have a powerful first clue; a book to accompany us on our way. But, you say, we always use the Bible in our teaching. What is new about that?
Consider first, how we use the Bible in our teaching. Before we insist that our children see the world as we have seen it we should listen to how they may see it with fresh eyes and imaginative hearts. The Bible is unfamiliar and strange to our students in its customs and language. This very fact can work to our advantage. The Bible tells a story of otherness and awe.
