Three, yet One
Children's Activity
Teachers or Parents: Today's object lesson will stay with the
children for many years (at least it has for me). There are other
expressions of God as One and yet Three: St. Patrick tried to
explain it by using the shamrock -- three parts and yet one leaf.
Water is another excellent example from nature. Water expresses
itself in three ways: as ice, liquid, and gas (steam). Each
expression is still truly water and yet totally different in our
experience of it. So, likewise, God is one and yet comes to us in
three distinct and important ways: as Creator, Redeemer, and
Sanctifier.
