Here is the origin of our Lord's table observances. Jesus later gave new significance to it,
but in the initial Passover, sacrificial lambs were first offered.
Israel must have wondered about the need for certain acts. In fact, one important aspect
escapes many Christians. Many Jewish people faithfully observe it, however. I refer to
sharing: "If a household is too small for a whole lamb, it shall join its closest neighbor in
obtaining one." Our Jewish neighbors in Los Angeles often invited us to eat Seder
